The Art of Appreciation: 21 days to Improving your Relationships

I’m really excited to share this simple yet effective tool for improving your relationships. I know this works because I do it every day! Check out my Facebook Page to watch a video telling you more. Those of you who have already seen the video here’s a quick overview of the process:

Step 1:  Pick someone with whom you want to cultivate more love and appreciation in your life i.e spouse, partner, children.

Step 2: Take 5 minutes to sit down with that person at the end of each day, maybe even over the dinner table or when going to bed. Tell them all the things that you appreciate that they did that day. Simple things like making you a cup of tea, going to work for your family, doing the dishes, anything they have done. Try to think of as many things as you can.

Step 3: Tell them one thing that you love about them. Make sure to pick a different thing every day. i.e I love how funny you are; I love your eyes; I love how you play with our children...

Step 4: Tell them one thing about yourself that you love. The idea behind this is to cultivate more self love and appreciation for the amazing person that you are. You may be amazed at how hard this part can be some days!

Step 5: Swap! Have them do the same for you. i.e. they tell you what you did that they appreciate; one thing about you they love; one thing about themselves they love.

Step 6: Repeat every day for 21 days and you will be amazed what this can do for you!

Step 7: Enjoy the benefits of more love and appreciation in your life!

This may sound way to easy or too good to be true but it really works! Try it for yourself and let me know what happens!
